The workshop will assist the business owner to deliver a fully integrated budget, cashflow forecast and forecast financial position, with us doing the modelling and guiding you to provide the assumptions that drive the model.

With these skills the business owner will be able to generate the reports to determine key financial metrics which can then be measured so that trends and areas for improvement can be identified over the year(s) ahead.

As a result of the workshop training, the business owner will be able to understand future requirements for, and investment in, IT solutions to meet their business objectives. This is an important step towards building a systemised business that is less dependent on the business owner.
Some examples of what we can teach the owner/management team includes but is not limited to:
• Working with the client to clearly identify issues, risks and limiting factors of their current system(s) and information flows

The training is split into three parts:

1. A focus on understanding the immediate impacts to the business, its revenues, margins, expenses, working capital requirements and financial position. The outcome is to understand the business model and the impact upon it, as well as understand the important financial information.

2. Enabling the business owner to develop short-term cash flow forecasts and a longer term model to illustrate how the business recovers. Also providing information and contacts to ensure that all government, bank, and other support is utilised. The learning outcome are how to improve cash flow and how to create business forecasts that link in with plans and strategy.

3. Helping the business owner to identify the specific steps that need to be made to ensure that the business has the financial stability to navigate the economic downturn, and ensuring accountability for those actions.

4. Helping the business owner to develop a business plan and strategy for the business to rebuild and grow sustainably when the restrictions lift and the economy recovers. The learning outcome is the ability to work through a planning process with key stakeholders to develop a credible plan.

We offer this training to equip business owners with the skills, information, and go forward to enable you to manage through the crisis and also to ensure that you preserve the important parts of your business to enable the execution of a plan to grow your business once the economy recovers. Suitable for small and medium sized businesses in most industries.

We utilise our in-house developed templates and playbook and require the business owner to work through these prior to meetings, and then to update and revise based on feedback and analysis.

The course is delivered in one-to-one meetings using Zoom. Sessions of 1-2 hours as required to cover the four elements.

The hourly rate is $275 per hour + GST, with the full cost of the course capped at $3,000 + GST (time commitment is expected to be 8-10 hours).
