Inbound marketing focuses on identifying a targeted group of buyers that are actively looking for your
product or service and creating a presence that enables a business to be found easily.

The aim of this day is to create a marketing plan that centres around a core target market and creating
marketing assets that resonates with their buying journey.

By understanding the process a target customer goes through to selecting potential providers and
solutions the outcome becomes more focused and effective marketing actions and decisions.

The day involves:
● Developing customer personas
● Understand a potential customer’s buyer journey
● Building a marketing funnel
● Creating a content plan for each stage of the inbound funnel
● Getting found online (keywords and content)
● Gatekeeping content (generating leads)
● Basic sales follow-up activities

Expected outcomes
By the end of the day you will:

1. Have developed 2 or more highly detailed personas for your top target markets
2. Created an outline for how these personas go about researching problems and solutions
3. Developed an unique path towards purchase for each
4. Come up with a plan for content that meets a persona’s needs when searching for solutions
5. Have a better understanding of the marketing channels needed to reach your audience
6. Considered the role of email, social media, blogging, websites and forms in your planning
7. Built a plan around keywords needed to reach your target personas
8. Discovered the importance of gatekeeping content and which questions to ask at which stage
9. Have drafted a basic sales process for managing inbound enquiries
10. Outlined several software tools and resources to aid in executing the plan
