DESCRIPTION
Coach Approach Rural provides to the development and execution of succession plans; independent facilitation, over 330 years of rural experiences and professional relationship skills. We cover where and how to start, how to maintain momentum, and collaboration with your team of professionals.

No family situation or solution is the same. Each family is unique due to differences in family culture and individual family members’ needs, aspirations and goals. Family harmony and unity is often the core outcome required.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
Since 2009, Coach Approach Rural has been working with rural families to transition from the current generation to future generations. This experience has identified key components of best practice as;

• Having sound family relationships – confirming/achieving this before proceeding
• Begin with the end in mind – to navigate your journey you need to first be clear on the destination
• Shared understanding – family appreciation of what is important to each other and why
• Develop options – utilisation of your professional team to uncover the preferred pathway(s)
• Formalised written plan – documenting key information, actions and accountability steps
• Regular review – to celebrate successes, identify changes and to adapt the plan as needed.

The facilitation includes one on one coaching with parents and the children (and their partners) to lead them to be clearer on what they want to have and be doing into the next phases of their lives. With consent this information is shared and a family conference is facilitated – the outcomes include clarity of vision for the family and the start of a succession plan document that becomes the driver of ongoing actions.

Existing professional advisors are collaborated with to ensure their required areas of expertise contribute to the components of achieving the best pathway to the family vision.

Outcomes experienced can include family unity, happier family interactions, financial security, fairness, de-stress (from knowing what to do and when), better solutions anchored to a common family vision and goals, harnessing of unique talents and different cultures, greater support of others for where they want to be and transition of heritage and legacies.

DURATION
Variables of family size, timing of when all involved family can come together for the family meeting and the seasonal workflows of farming, mean the time frame from planning commencement to the first family meeting can vary from 6 weeks to 6 months.

INVESTMENT
This depends on the family size, what work has been done to date and the complexity of personal situations. The investment ranges from $6,000 - $12,000. less

OVERVIEW
Knowing where you want to get to is the prerequisite for determining what to do. The clearer your vision is the easier it is to make the right choices of how to get there. Effective planning deals with these fundamentals. Coach Approach Rural has developed a logical process that supports rural families and businesses to get real clear about where they want to be and how to get there.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
Working one2one with our experienced rural professionals you will be coached and mentored through a discovery, assessment and planning process.
This will clarify:
• Your values, goals and objectives for your rural business
• Where you and your rural business is today
• Where you want your rural business to be at a future time
• How to build a practical roadmap of how to get there
• Accountability steps around implementation of the plan.

The process captures business critical components including (but not limited to):
• Mission – our purpose and why we are in business together
• Vision – our desired future
• Core Values – who we are as a business and what drives us
• Current Reality – where we are now, internally and externally
• Future State – who we want to be, what we want to be doing and what we want to have
• Strategies – bridging the gap between current reality & future state, with tangible goals
• Annual (Business) Plan – establishing actions to achieve goals in the successive business period.

OUTCOMES
A meaningful, documented business plan that can be used to drive implementation, to identify barriers and to monitor successes.

DURATION
Pre work of questions and an assessment is required.
This is followed by a one2one session of 4 hours duration.

INVESTMENT

DESCRIPTION
The culture of the farm team is a foundation for engagement, positivity, teamwork and sustained high performance. This interactive workshop precipitates shifts in thinking and behaviour at the personal level and in the team. These shifts unlock the potential to leverage from an ‘above the line’ approach and from the different behavioural styles that are found in every team.

CONTENT
The workshop covers;
1. The foundational principle for self-leadership. Discover how the individual is in control of how they turn up to work each day and how to influence this.
2. TetraMap® for Teams – an adventure into the nature of behaviour;
• Why I behave the way I behave,
• Why others behave the way they do and
• With this learning, how to get the best from leveraging each others' behavioural preferences.
3. With the above learning, the team then create a set of Team Principles that, consistently applied by all, create an engaging, safe and high performing culture.
4. Team identify and commit to follow-up actions that will embed the learning.

OUTCOMES
The farm team benefits from;
• Individuals taking ownership of their responses to situations that occur daily in their role.
• Understanding and insights as to why individuals are the way they are, acceptance of that and knowing how to best use their differences to contribute to the team.
• Creation of a common understanding of what behaviour is required for each to contribute positively to the team.
• The mandate to hold others accountable to behave to agreed Team Principles.
• Higher levels of positivity, confidence and motivation.
