Resilience is the capacity to withstand and adapt to the challenges life throws us. It is a skill anyone can learn, to survive and to thrive. You can practice resilience through any strategy that helps you manage your emotions, dispute negative thoughts and build your social and emotional resources. And because our emotions, brain and body are intricately linked, we can change the way we feel by adjusting how we think or even hold our body. The goal is to cultivate a range of tactics.
