To build a healthy Culture
To develop a strong advisory board culture
Participants will leave this session being able to take its content straight into their Board meetings.
Day Two: Financial Fundamentals
Participants will leave this session:
Understanding the language of finance
Knowling what questions to ask
Understanding how to analyse trend, judge/assess performance
How profitability differs from cash flow
The good and bad to budgeting
How to evaluate capital expenditure proposals
The value of independent Advisors and Mentors
After attending this workshop participants will:
• Know if and when their business may need a board.
• Understand the task of governing and what accountabilities it brings.
• Know how to build a company structured to achieve outcomes
• Consider another way to grow the business.
Course Presenters:
Dr Bev Edlin MBA, BBS, MintD.
Bev has held senior management positions across a number of industry sectors. In 2007 Bev completed a doctoral thesis on governance. She has held chair positions and served as a director/trustee on others in both the not-for-profit and business sectors.
Nick Dangerfield FCA,CMA,MIntD
Nick has had over 26 years’ experience as a senior financial and operations manager including 10 years as an Executive Director of the Interlock Group. Nick has held a number of directorships and chairmanships in both the SME and not for profit sectors.
